A new small press started and closed
by poets
Myna Wallin and David Clink

Note: believe your own press does not accept unsolicited manuscripts. In fact, the press will not be publishing any more titles.

This press was created in December, 2001.
The press closed down in June 2007.

We will still be in operation for the next year or two, selling copies of books through the Internet, and it will have a presence at the next few Toronto Small Press Fairs (which occurs in May and November  every year).  

Previous Launches:

Our Spring 2007 launch (our 5th anniversary, and our last launch) was on Sunday, May 6th, 2007, at the Victory Cafe, where we launched four new poetry chapbooks, Resident Alien by Teresa Dunat Banks, Snapshots by Carolyn Clink, One Dozen by David Clink, and It's No Secret You'll Feel Better by Nashira Dernesch. We had musical guests Fern Lindzon and George Koller. Bobby Hsu also accompanied Fern and George.

Our Fall 2005 launch was on Sunday, October 3, 2005, at the Victory Cafe, where we launched four new poetry chapbooks, Radio City by Bobby Hsu, The Beautiful Darkness by Ron Newberry-Evans, The Human Cannonball by Halli Villegas, and, Warning Signs by Myna Wallin.

Our Fall 2004 launch was on Sunday, October 2, 2004, at the Victory Cafe, where we launched four new poetry chapbooks, Visitations by Clara Blackwood, Brick and Bone by Alex Boyd, Shapeshifter by David Clink, and, Midnight Grocery by Dani Couture.

Our Spring 2003 launch was on Sunday, March 16, 2003, at the Victory Cafe, where we launched three new poetry chapbooks, Larger than Still Life by Joel Giroux, Vacancies by Chris Jennings, and The Old Abandonment by Myna Wallin.  We celebrated the second printing of Under the Dragon's Tail by Clara Blackwood.

On Sunday, October 6th, 2002, 8 p.m. (at the Victory Cafe) believe your own press launched three poetry chapbooks, David Clink's Come-on from the Horse on Seventh Avenue, edited by Herb Kauderer); Clara Blackwood's Under the Dragon's Tail - edited by David Clink; and Henry Mak's Melodramas, edited by Myna Wallin.  

believe your own press launched Myna Wallin's first poetry collection February 13, 2002 at the Art Bar, Vulnerable Positions, edited by Ray Hsu, and launched David Clink's second poetry collection March 20, 2002 at the Art Bar, The Surly Blondes of Earth - edited by Sandra Kasturi.
